The Director of the NRP (who is a lecturer in the Centre for Adult Education, which is part of the School of Adult and Higher Education) is currently conducting research into how trainee teachers (both in South Africa and internationally) are taught to teach reading.
This research may lead to the development of an accredited programme in the field of reading teaching.
